Terms and Conditions

1. The service

FixLens uses artificial intelligence to analyse user-supplied photographs and descriptions and provide general, preliminary home-repair information. Results may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for a property. FixLens is not an inspection, trade service, engineering opinion or professional advice.

2. Age and accounts

• Users must be at least 16 years old.
• Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
• Users must provide accurate account details, protect their password and promptly report suspected unauthorised access.
• A person must not create multiple accounts to bypass usage limits.

3. Acceptable use

• Only upload content you are legally permitted to use.
• Do not probe, overload, reverse engineer or bypass security, billing or usage controls.
• Do not rely on FixLens for emergencies or dangerous work.
• Users under 18 must not attempt hazardous repairs and should involve a responsible adult and qualified professional.

4. User content

Users retain ownership of their photographs and descriptions. Users grant FixLens a limited licence to process submitted content only to provide, secure and administer the requested service as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

The first three analyses are free. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe at the price and interval displayed at checkout. FixLens does not store complete card details. Users can cancel through the Stripe billing portal; cancellation normally stops future renewals while access continues through the paid billing period. Refund rights are described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

6. Availability

FixLens may change, suspend or discontinue features and will provide reasonable notice where required by law. The service is provided on an “as available” basis and uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

7. Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FixLens is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss resulting from reliance on AI-generated information. Where liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or the cost of resupply.

8. Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or terminated for serious or repeated breach, fraud, safety risks or non-payment, subject to applicable notice requirements. Users may delete their account from the dashboard.

9. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, without limiting mandatory rights available elsewhere. Contact fixlenshelp@gmail.com.
